Always doing the impossible... i need to set up a kxtd to do "hot line" dialing. of course, using an extension and doing "pud" is easy.
BUT i need about four co lines that- 1. ring on incoming calls (like real lines) 2. dial a ten digit number when picked up. operation- imagine an accounting office with maybe 3 people and each has a 24 button phone, like a 7433 say i have four vendors that i will give each a "private" line. and i put these vendors on co 9, 10, 11 and 12. if vendor two calls his special number, co/button 10 rings, an any of the 3 phones can pick up. this is easy / regular functions. now the hard part, phone 2 user presses co 11, the kxtd now has to outdial 214-555-5555 with no further action. any crafty way you can think of ? i'm looking at the ars table, but it only does dialing if it gets some digits to look at first. plan B, have the telco set up the 4 cos as centrex with off hook dialing. plan c (TOMORROW MORNING!!!) I got a mitel Smart-1 and a few demon hot shots loaded in the truck. but this is just to get big smiles early in the morning... i want my mitel back! thanks folks -larry ps anyone happen to have a programming sheet for teltronics "network manager +" (white box, 4 rjs, a grn & yel led for each of the 4 lines. this should be something like a smart-1? if it can "hot line" dial, i have a crate of them going to waste that would work well in this app. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
