I've got a kx-td1232-6. I'm trying to understand phantom extensions.

I understand that you can assign particular stations to have these phantom extensions,
but what I'm trying to figure out, is how those numbers are assigned. I can't quite
understand the (default) rules for assigning the numbers. I know that you can have
like x191 (default EXT group 1) to be a phantom extension, but when I try to put
arbitrary numbers in (doing what I think to conform to the flexible numbering) it's
not working out.

I guess, could someone give me a bit more information about phantom dialing. A primer
if you will ;-)

Thanks!!
