Thanks Ray,

I did not actually consider that - sounds like a good idea, I will see what is 
available. I can do fairly simple 
excel stuff - but the macro bits are beyond me. I would have thought there would be a 
1000 programs on the internet 
that would create a local phonebook - but I cannot find one.
