William: Thanks for the info. I was trying to find a way of doing the same thing with the Pana Pbx and the TVS120 since one of the features advertised is "System Caller Name Announce". I just can't seem to figure out a way to get it to work. I might just have to resort to your solution. Joe

It is on an ISA slot in the computer running ECS, and is attached as a single line device to an extension port on a KXTD 1232. It can dial a group (330- 338) , a specific extension (101 - 132) , call a doorphone (311-312), open a door module (551-552), pickup a call (4), or access an outside line (81, 82, 83,,,9) to then call a pager or cell phone. For instance, I could program it to recognize my cell phone, call the doorphone, say welcome home, and then open the door for me. (As an aside, it can also answer and allow me to control any device in the house...) >Are you using >the Group CO button feature for this? As far as the Panasonic PBX is concerned, BigmOuth is a single line telephone. ECS has built in logic for dialing using the Bigmouth card. It simply dials 334 , then begins playing the info as if it were a single line phone to voice announce the caller. The BigmOuth card is late 1980's technology, but still works better than anything else I have tried. They actually still make them http://www.tti.net/support/bigmouth-faq.html apparently for telemarketers. The current ECS version does not support Bigmouth since it has moved to Windows only, thus I am waiting to get full voice support before my next upgrade. >I use some outdated caller id hardware called Yoyo that connect to a >Macintosh over the outdated ADB (apple desktop bus). Ironically my stuff is outdated too, yet it performs better than the new stuff. Go figure.
