I have found that Programator can be a double-edged sword in that it can make changes to the system that are not supported by the firmware or the Panasonic programming software.. f'rinstance..
The U.S version of the TA-624 doesn't support FRS, but I was able to set it up using the Programmator. Likewise for two-digit station numbers.. Pana says no way but programmator says yes.

soo.. there are indeed things that you can do with the Programmator that the Panasonic software can't undo, but I haven't experienced the problem where the Pana software gets competely locked out.

Many of our customers have been using Programmator for years without

trouble.

I've have found a few screwy things happening with Programmator, such as buttons being programmed wrong after an upload. The worst I saw was when a fellow digital dealer had been using Programmator on a D1232, I was helping him out and tried to get in with my Pana software and there was no way to gain access. It would not connect at all (I checked everything). He hooked up the P-mator and got right in. So somehow the Panasonic software was locked out.
