Hi,

I am trying to set up a TVP100 with a KXTD1232E for a customer who has purchased on of these for a large house.

The VPS answers the phones, forwards to hunt groups according to menu items, and then falls flat on its face as you cannot get the VPS to put unanswered messages into any box other than the Message Manager's Box [without entering a mailbox number that is not available externally...].

I cannot set the owner extension for the Message Manager, nor does option 609 [VM Code] seem to work, even with the 990 bit reset to send VM code rather than extension number to the voicemail, and specifying 998 as the VM Code. My guess is that VM codes are only used for DDI diverts. Is this true? Is this a bug?

How do you get messages to be stored in department [or pseudo department] mailboxes if a hunt group does not answer, and how do you set the VM number for an extension to be other than the extension itself? How do I set several extensions to default to Voice mail port 998 ?

Thanks.

Yours,
