The answer is groups.  I have the same situation here, asked the same
question a year or two ago and that was the answer.  That will put the
message light on in every phone in the group.  Furthermore, you can
assign a function key on a phone not in the group to light up
indicating a message waiting there, and you can pickup the handset and
press the button to get the message.  

I can't remember how I did it, but if you scan the old messages, I
think you'll see a few messages explaining it.
