First off... I screwed up; it is a TVA-50; not a TVS-50.
But Charlie's hints got me there.
a) I found the roadmap on page 109 of the TVA50 Subscriber manual.
b) With it, I disabled the incomplete handling options:
4->4->[2-7]
4->5->[2-7]
c) AND then Utility->System Prompt Customization->turn off prompt 636.
