If you are connecting 2 ver2's you need to be aware of a few things.

Whenever they reboot, the MUST reboot at the same time, and it takes
up to 5 minutes for them to sync.

So, point 1 is you better put both ksu's on very good UPS's.

Here is the other issue- in the -5 they fixed this, but in every
earlier version, WHILE the systems are rebooting, there must be
absolutely no traffic going on between the cabinets otherwise it could
mess up the sync.
Panasonic recommends this: remove all cables from both ksu's- i.e.
disconnect the amphenol extension cables and the co line cords - while
the system syncs (for full 5 minutes). Pana continued to recommend it
for the -5's and 6's if you have trouble syncing, but usually it would
boot up ok.

Anytime I did dual cabinets I upgraded them to -5 or -6 for both
cabinets. They would have to pay for rom chips but it helps solve a
lot of problems. If they are only doing is as a temporary measure you
can get away with it, then move to a TDA200.

I have a dual cabinet -5 install that is about 500 miles away (not an
easy service call) but it has been running for about 4 years without
any problems, well except for the time someone turned of the battery
backup for one cabinet by accident.
