I think you will find it is a group of four consecutive ports. 1-4, 5-8, 
9-12, etc.

Check the AMP connector at the KSU looking for green or discolored 
connections.

If all looks well, disconnect the stations affected...at the phones and at 
the MDF.

Meter the data pairs with a Sidekick or something similar...at the very 
least  a good VOM.

Look for a short between the pairs, and from either side to ground.

If all is well, plug sets back in one at a time until the trouble returns.
