So, are you hearing this on intercom calls between stations as well, or only on outside line calls?
I'm on site again, and it appears not to happen on intercom calls. Just when connected to a C.O. line. Happens on all trunks, covering the internal and external C.O. cards, and from both digital sets and analog stations.
And is it pretty much on every call, or intermittent?
Still intermittent, unfortunately. I was waiting around for it to happen again. It just did for a minute, then went away again.
It's connected directly to A.C. power, so it's not a bad UPS. Could be a bad internal power supply, though. Either that or main logic board I guess.
This is a dash-7. Can I buy a lower rev motherboard and just take our ROMs and put them in that board? The dash-7 boards for sale are limited and expensive. I don't recall what we'd lose out on by replacing with a dash-6, dash-4, or lower.
I may try initializing the system and reprogramming (yuck!). The problem doesn't sound like anything related to system programming but maybe it's worth a try.
