Brent, what Brad just mentioned is not a bad idea - if all else fails.
The center pair is not used at all by the digital phone, so you can isolate the station wire at the ksu end (take it off the ksu) and put it directly on the fax line, bypassing the system all together. I remember when Panasonic came out with the xdp concept, Vodavi also tried to say that they had analog compatibility at every station for one of their systems. When I pressed the sales person on it, they explained that all you had to do was attach an analog line to the spare pair running out to each phone... ...back in the days of dial up.
