On a 123211D you want to check if the Amp connector is seated in the card.
The quickest way to troubleshoot this is to swap cables for cards 1&2. If
the trouble stays on the same extensions, you have a card problem, if it
switches to the 8 offset station, you have a cable/jack problem. Take the
time to examine the inside of the connector and the bridge clips for those
stations. The other tip is if the stations are defective on the end ports
(ie jack 1&2 or 7&8) the aforementioned AMP connector may not be making
contact. You should also check or replace the jacks these phones are
plugged into. Perhaps they got wet at one time or another.
There is no power or data share that I know in the 1232, unless it's
mechanical, you are just as likely to lose any port in the system. The
fact that they are consecutive points to a mechanical problem. The cables
might be run together and been eaten by a critter :-).
