Sounds like n CO buttons are assigned on your telephone. Do a PROGRAM 99,
press button for CO 1, the enter 001 and press STORE. Press button for CO2,
enter 002 STORE. Pick up handset to exist.

Thanks to all for you suggestions, here is where I'm at on my 1232. A used
system with a 7443 display phone on ext 1, a 7420 on ext 2. Two CO lines
hooked up to lines1/2. Did a reset of the cabinet, and when you press a
line button or intercom and 9 you get on the display screen "ACCTN" and then
"CO-Not Assigned"
