Hmmm,
if you had multiple spare co's, couldn't you tie them together at the wire
end, then each person could conference with one of the spare co's?  (I would
hate to have to explain this to a customer in easy to use sentences.)

An old Siemens switch I put in years ago had the conference circuit card
concept. You can transfer calls to it or dial into it. Up to 8 users on one
conference.   I may be replacing that unit with a KXTD soon so I may have to
consider this.
