No! It is the only one on the system. I
have don parallels on a 1232D and each of the two are still louder than this
one. Could I have another defective door box or a bad
adapter?

I have a small business customer with a
624 [recent install] and all wiring with new CAT5 except the door box was
run on 18-4. 2 conductors were used for the door box and two for a
door release. The low volume is even when the door release is NOT
being activated.
Any ideas. I did replace the door box
once and had some improvement. Could I have TWO bad door
boxes?
