First thing would be to really double check the wiring. Bring the phone to
the ksu and connect it right at the punch block with no other wires
connected to that extension. If it works there then there is a wire problem.
If there is a short in the station cable it could cause that effect, such as
if the wire was stapled to the wall and a staple cut into it.
