Larry & all,

I have done a few of these installs....and most of your "plusses" are valid
EXCEPT the part about the customer being stuck with equipment failure
issues. In reality, once you touch it, you marry that customer forever...and
you WILL get the call when lightning hits, and they WILL expect you to
provide a loaner KSU when theirs is at Panasonic repair!
I have a hard time saying NO to anyone, but I've found that many times
dealing with customer provided equipment is more trouble than it's worth.

Also, if you don't provide them with all the bells and whistles that we do
for our "regular" customers ie: custom label sets, highly customized
programming, and lots of hand holding......when they are asked "how do you
like your phone system, and who installed it"...your referral is probably
not going to be as stellar as those from your other customers. The end user
surely won't mention he tried to save a couple of bucks.

Just one guys' opinion..........not everybody (hardly anybody) who sells
equipment on line does as good a job of support as M. Marcus and
AbleComm........Most of these internet guys leave their customers flappin'
in the breeze as soon as the equipment is out the door ....then it becomes
the installer's headache.

Best, Jim
