I've seen several suggestions for defeating the Notification Hacker.
But I'd like to gather them up in one place.
Here's what I have:
[T=TVS, X=KXTD]
Ta) Passwords, Dammit
on 998 & 999.
on all user accounts
b) Look & Listen:
Spread word; if users get "there were {many} attempts"
let you know! Look for outgoing lines in use &
locked out boxes.
Xc) Block any outside access by the VM trunks by setting
Menu [ ] to have no CO lines available.
Xd) Toll restrict VM trunks with Menu [ ]
Te) With "system parameters / others / dialing parameters" set to
something like "**##", the TVS will not be able to draw dialtone
from the system.
Tf) Restrict Message Notification to those CoS that need it.
