Also check your co groups.  Make sure you don't have any "non connected"
lines in the co group 1.  When you dial 9, you will select the last
available line in the hunt group 1.

Try dialing 9 from phones that are not dialig speed dials.  If you hear the
same dead air or error tone, then change your unused lines to group 2 or
something.

The number you program must have a line access number before the number you
dial.  Probably something like the following,   9 1800 1234567

I've programmed about 10 system speed dials into my 1232 with Programator,
the number show up if you use ext 1 to check on them using the system phone
in programming mode.  But when I press a line button and then autodial and
the speed dial number I get nothing but dead quiet and then usually a fast
busy signal.  Any ideas?
