It's not unused: in Calc, choose Format - Conditional Formatting - Data Bar... - More options... and if your locale is set to English, you'll see it as the topmost header. Actually, on the very picture you posted ( http://login.kristshell.net/~olorin/databar%20dialog.png), that string should be shown instead of the upper "Linjefarger". I don't know how it got there, but also in my locale the two first headers in thet dialog are the same, even though they shouldn't be -- we'll see if it's fixed in RC2.
