Dear Management,
My name is Danilo and I would like to contribute to the OpenOffice with
translations into Serbian (Cyrilic) language
Welcome, Danilo! There's no formal "management" here at Apache,
actually: we are all volunteers, even though of course some of us have
administrative privileges.
since there is no project on the Pootle server, I guess I
should ask for the .po files then.
You have already done everything expected from a new volunteer, very good.
Serbian (Cyrillic) is in our source code and you can find it here if you
wish to take a look (warning: large file):
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/openoffice/branches/AOO34/extras/l10n/source/sr/localize.sdf?view=log
and as you found out it is not in Pootle at the moment, due to technical
limitations of the current Pootle installation.
You should just wait for Juergen, our release manager, to send you the
PO files for Serbian. Festivities might lead to some delay, but please
write back if you are still waiting for PO files in a few days. Note
that we have a translation deadline set for next week in order to get
OpenOffice 3.4.1 released in your language in January (if this is
missed, your work will still be reused for the 4.0 release, so don't worry).
Regards,
Andrea.
