Hi again,
I tried sending the ICLA scanned, filled and signed but your email
server doesn't accept it because of the size (over 1 MB). I'll send
it page by page in two more mails, after this one.
I'm sending a file with some errors occurred during the save of a
file after translation. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. The first
states that there are errors in red, the file was saved but the MO
file was not created. But when I re-open the file, the translation is
not there. I couldn't find help on line for POEDIT, so I'm stuck.
Perhaps you can try Virtaal [1], for me it was easier and it have a
little tutorial, more over have sugestion on tranlation, it is from
the same creator than pootle. I have made most of the last translation
in Virtaal. I think it is not needed the MO file, only the PO is used.

I would also like to know if there is a way of seeing the resulting
translations. It would be really helpful and more accurate.
It is probably best if I have a Pootle account.
Thanks,
Pedro.

Is it enough to send a scanned ICLA with my signature on it?
Absolutely! That tells us that the contributions are under the
proper license (Apache license) and that you are the author of
translations you contribute.
I would also need to know how to get the files needed and what
software
is used in the translations (I think it is POEDIT).
1) Add a comment here:
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=121816 stating your
name, that you already filed an ICLA and that you will work offline
(or online, see below).
2) You can work offline with POEdit or online with Pootle.
Instructions are at http://openoffice.apache.org/translate.html .
Links to PO files are in the issue page, the Pootle link is
https://translate.apache.org/pt/aoo40/ . If you prefer Pootle, just
reply to this e-mail saying that you need a Pootle account (you may
choose your username too) and the Pootle administrators will create
one (please write back if you didn't get in a couple of days).
Regards,
Andrea.
