I have now a state where I can at least synchronize the db back into po
files. I had to restore from an older sdf file.
Maybe you can check it ... I will try a further merge after my short
vacation (Jan 24th)

Checked and reviewed, all made online, no tampering with Pootle files.
Hope to see it working this time.
I'll update bugzilla issue as well.
