Jacco states, that the authors of l2tpd already use it in a commercial setting.
Has someone experience with the stability of that l2tpd/ipsec in a commercial environment?
Thanks for an anser

If you are interested, I have written some documentation available at:

Jacco, Excellent work! On my own, through "option bingo" I was able to get so far as to get FreeS/WAN working with certificates and attempting to make the L2TP connection. I used both l2tpd and l2tpd-rp with no success -- until reading your documentation! Thanks so much for putting together such thorough documentation. I'd already gotten PPTP working (yes, I did all the necessary patching to get pppd 2.4.1 using MPPE and MSCHAP, as well as setting up PoPToP) ... but FreeS/WAN and L2TP I just couldn't figure out. I'm now fully connected using WinXP Home's built-in L2TP IPSEC VPN and Linux running FreeS/WAN and l2tpd-rp. Now, if I could only figure out why WinXP Home doesn't want to play nice with my Samba 2.2.3 installation ... -- Dossy
