Good day,

I was able to compile the RPM by including patch0 and taking out patch 4 (no
changes to the source were needed).

The error message I now get is:

Jun 3 15:59:37 vpn1 pppd[21851]: no device specified and stdin is not a tty

... which produces a number of Google hits, a few with l2tpd. One of them
suggested a small patch (I guess l2tpd is not passing the expected options?)
although I am not positive if that is the cause here.

Not sure if I went forward or backward with this change. =/
