Actually, I think that this was just an easy to make misunderstanding. I think what Alfred meant is that those parts of POSIX that are insecure should be ignored, while the other parts can be implemented. This would coincede with his stance on chroot() for example. "Ignore the insecurities in chroot()" in Alfred speak would translate to "Do not implement chroot()" in English. This translation service is offered to you free of charge :) Even if he didn't mean that, he will certainly claim that he meant that. Or he will claim that he actually meant something entirely else.
