Due to the fact that this week's poll asks a binary question:

Do you prefer the guns outside of Saferooms to be single items that
disappear after the first person picks them up? Or do you prefer that there
are enough for everyone?

I wanted to expand upon this (I know valve guys read this, along with all
you freelance mappers), as I want *both at the same time.

*Here's what I mean:

If the door opens, down the road around the corner behind a trashcan there's
a shotgun, that's cool. I like there being stray 1-off guns.

But what I also want are *three more guns* within the immediate vicinity
(not necessarily in line of sight, but within 5-10 seconds walk, or even the
same gun) so that everyone can "tech up" rather that one guy going "fuck
yes, this shotgun is MINE bitches!" and being 110% better than everyone else
for the rest of the level.

I like the feel of limited weaponry but I want the balance of enough for the
team.

Spawnpoints of 4+ guns also lead to the "I'll just pick a new one instead of
reloading" exploit (I think if there are exactly 2 and only one person
touches them he has infinite ammo from a limited spawnpoint, as a dropped
object near a spawn point of identical objects will merge and reset ammo
counts). Might take 3, I haven't tested it extensively--yeah, I think it
takes 3: 1 in your hands, 1 being dropped, and 1 still spawnpoint bound).

Anyway, that's my 2cents
