A month has now passed and the Valve servers are back(?). Is Left 4 Dead
2 really this forgotten that it gets something out of L4D and only
mutation reruns?

How about changing the featured campaign once a while? It's been over 2
months already since "Featured campaigns returned" and one got picked.
Don't ask from the people at this list which should be the next. I think
developers should play those and be able to pick one that they want to
show off for the players.
Then a personal thanks for everyone who helped me with my
work&campaign&stuff/etc in the past. I have decided to leave Left 4 Dead
1&2 behind and will not map for them anymore. I will also shutdown the
servers i have for them in the coming weeks as there isn't any point of
running those around my area any longer (hardly see game or 2 on those
per day). The custom campaigns never get the attention/spread like they
do in TF2/CS Source so i fail to see why i should continue mapping. Only
thing that keeps the game alive is versus (the coop players like me have
gotten bored months ago) and those re-run mutations that some people
seems to like. Those of us who have also L4D1 get nothing new from the
old maps from it coming to L4D2. Those of you who still have inspiration
and vision,
go for it. I'll move to other games.
