I noticed that the bounding box of my models are very "tight" compared to
the models provided by the game. You can see what I mean when you look in
Hammer or HLMV. In Hammer, the model browser Mdl Bbox, HLMV is Seq. Boxes.
Not only am I trying to figure this out of curiosity, but it happens to be
very helpful when placing models on the Hammer grid and possibly affects
performance for certain situations.

So is there some way to make models that have "padding" like the official
ones?

I already ruled out $bbox for multiple reasons, so $bbox doesn't seem to be
the answer. The mdl bbox will show up in Hammer model browser with $bbox
but the seq. boxes in HLMV will not show up. Also, Hammer 2D/3D view
doesn't show any difference with $bbox. Modelsrc examples provided by Valve
don't give the same box when you compile it yourself. I wouldn't assume
that the qc is different from what they used.
