It's well known that Valve is one of the few game companies that really cares about pleasing their playerbase. I know no other company where the employees personally respond to emails when they can to help people out, like Phil and Chet have in the past for me (thanks guys) And I have yet to see a Valve game that I don't like, for which we often even get free DLC's.
Seriously, the people who keep moaning at Valve for not doing enough should go and visit 99% of the other companies around the world and see how it goes there.
