"ENDING POVERTY IN AFRICA: PROGRESS AND PROJECTIONS" First Unitarian Church of L.A. 2936 W. 8th Street Los Angeles Dr. James Quilligan will be delivering the message at the 11:00 am service and giving a 2-hour workshop beginning at 12:15 pm. In the morning message .He will discuss Africa's critical needs, the relief program and other reforms proposed in the Commission for Africa's final report, what role the G-8 should play, and what Americans can do. The afternoon workshop will focus on globalization issues affecting Africa, such as agricultural subsidies, debt, and development assistance, as well as issues affecting developing nations in regions other than Africa, such as CAFTA.
