A Bring Our Troops Home public demonstration will be
held Saturday April 8th, from 11 am to 12:30 pm.
Participants will meet at the entrance to the Laguna
Hills Mall on El Toro Road near Macy's.
The sponsor, People for Peace, invites the public to
join them in protesting the endless war our administration
has imposed on Iraq. By our continued presence there,
we are fueling the insurgency toward more violence.
As the public speaks out boldly and insistently. Congress
is finally making meaningful proposals toward bringing
our troops home.
Be the way toward peace. Bring signs and flags,
or use one of theirs.

In April 2005, independent international activists began
regular visits to the neighborhood of Tel Rumeida, Hebron,
in the occupied West Bank.
Tel Rumeida is a small neighborhood known for housing
the most violent and racist faction of the Israeli settler
movement. Palestinian families who live directly next to
these settlers are often virtual prisoners in their homes
and subject to the settlers' violent attacks and destruction
of property. The 400 fascist settlers, protected by thousands
of Israeli troops, control 20% of the city of Hebron, home to
160,000 Palestinians.
After meeting Palestinian families in Tel Rumeida,
documenting the circumstances in which they are forced
to live, and experiencing the settlersâ violence, the
international activists developed the foundations to begin
a permanent presence in Tel Rumeida.
Join us for an eyewitness report, discussion and video from
U.S. activists Chelli Stanley and John Harmer of the Tel
Rumeida Project.

Dont miss this event! David Holthouse from the Southern
Poverty Law Center is visiting the area and will be speaking.
His talk will include a general history of the SPLC followed
by the history of the Intelligence Project division of the SPLC
(which began as Klan Watch in the 1980's). There will also
be a specific discussion about the current number and
types of organized "hate groups" in the U.S., with a heavy
focus on the white supremacist involvement in the border
militias in our area.
A professional investigative journalist since 1995,
Mr. Holthouse has worked undercover as a neo-Nazi
skinhead and has written extensively about the rising
covert participation of neo-Nazis in the anti-immigration
militia movement, including the high-profile Minuteman
Civil Defense Corps. He is the associate editor of Intelligience
Report, a watchdog publication dedicated to monitoring and
exposing the activities of neo-Nazi and other white
supremacist organizations in the United States.
A free-will donation is suggested.

We have decided to move our serving day and free
Market to Saturday, as opposed to Sunday. San
Clemente Food Not Bombs, will be serving in Max Berg
Park at 3pm every Saturday.
Some new projects within San Clemente Food Not
Bombs have been:
providing clothes, house supplies, appliances, and anything
else donated that would be of use to the lower income families
which we work with in our community.
Books Not Bombs. BNB collects and redistrubutes reading
material, preferably progressive and historical writings,
and offers them to the community at no cost. BNB looks to
collect, among others, childrens books to be distrubuted to
Las Palmas Elememtary School, located across from the
park which SCFNB serves at.
Finally, SCFNB has begun a small collection of youth working
to send items and love into the prison industrial complex.

Huntington Beach Pier, 7-8 pm
It's hard for most people to imagine a world at peace.
We are a very small group of people who believe that
this is indeed possible and that peace will happen once
enough people believe that it can. So we stand at the
pier every Sunday night with a sign that says:
"Visualize World Peace. It's up to you".
We also believe in non-violence both physically
and in our thoughts. We will discuss peace and
non-violence with anyone who is rational and
smile quietly at those who aren't. We hold this vigil
in a spirit of dignity and respect for all as we try
to build bridges with those who don't share our
philosophy.
Please bring a candle or just help us hold up our
banner (no signs please; we have our banner!)
