The service for activist Michael Zinzun packed an Altadena Church today. The highlight for me were the brief but moving testimonials from his friends, and family members. Many told of how positively Michael affected their lives, from saving young kids from a criminal life, to get others into college and from helping so many in various kinds of trouble.
You wondered where he got the time and energy to do all the things he did. Including his constant political work, his large family and his various hobbies. Sounded like they were talking about a half a dozen men. Many members of the Black Panther Party were in attendance. I would have liked to see more activist types there, there were only just a few. Heck a friend drove down from the Bay area just to attend it.
