Friday, July 4th, 11 am 1 pm, we invite you to join us at Arlington West at Santa Monica Beach to mourn the dead and walk for peace. Over 4000 crosses and other religious symbols replicate the real Arlington Cemetery in West Virginia, symbolizing the fallen in the Iraq war and occupation. We mourn for those who have fallen from all sides and for all reasons. Please join the LA Catholic Worker, American Friends Service Committee, Veterans for Peace, Palisadians for Peace, Topanga Peace Alliance and others for a memorial service and peace walk along Palisades Park in Santa Monica. Meet at 11 AM on July 4, 2008 at Arlington West, on the north side of Santa Monica Pier. This Friday, July 4th, starting at 11 am at Arlington West in Santa Monica at the north side of the Santa Monica Pier (easy parking $8). The closest free parking is at Structure S8 at Corner of 2nd St. & Colorado Ave. http://parking.smgov.net/det_downtown.html Sun block and hat recommended.
