I have been digging around the internet, trying to find information about nutritional measures to alleviate the effects of radiation and radioactivity. My search started with learning about a Japanese doctor who treated survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, very successfully, using a traditional Japanese diet which included miso soup, brown rice and vegetables. His name was Dr. Tatsuichiro Akizuki, and he was a survivor of the Nagasaki bombing himself.
I am sending this bibliography to the list in the hopes that other people will be interested in it, and use the diet described on these websites to counteract the effects of the Fukushima disaster. I think this is really important for people who live on the West coast of North America in particular, as we are learning more and more about the dreadful leaking from the stricken plants, and even dumping of highly radioactive water from Fukushima that is ending up in the Pacific.
