Title: Re: [labradoodles] Re: puppy lost
Please make sure you check out prospective owners vigorously and that you know the environment they will be going to. There are many websites of breeders that diligently check out prospective owners beginning with an online application with very specific questions. Also, an excellent source for an application would be a rescue group. They are extremely particular about who they place dogs with and they all have return clauses. I would think that if you checked some out and then emailed them, they would most likely let you use their application or you could make up your own with similar questions. And definitely have a return clause. Additionally, let the people you approve of know that you must be notified if they move, change phone numbers, etc, and let them know that if they have any questions on obedience or health issues, that you are available to them. This could be a tremendous preventive measure if they start to get frustrated with training, etc. These "rules" would be for the life of the dog, not just for puppyhood. Also, please do some research and check with several veterinarians as well as other breeders for info on back to back breeding. I am not an advocate of this. Just my humble opinion in the best interest of the welfare of the dogs.
