Dear "debriefer52"

I thought this list is for people who "love" labradoodles. If you are against the "breed" why are you on this list? Secondly, why don't you sign your name to your emails?

You make a valid point about not being able to predict the coat types, but if your opinion is that they are mutts, why would you refer someone to an international site just because their "mutts" are multi-generation. Is a "mutt" worth more because they are multi-gen, have a higher price and are international? If my doodle line started with a dog from Australia, does that make my doodles not mutts?

Any breed has good and bad qualities. Poodles included. Most, if not all breeds, originated from cross breeding and refining.

Additionally, just like any breed, poodles included, there are good and bad breeders. There are plenty of good doodle breeders in this country. And there are plenty of bad poodle breeders. The good doodle breeders will offer proof of health and testing on the dogs they are using for breeding. They can show a good representation of what the coat should be. These dogs are being bred for good family pets. Since they are not recognized by AKC they should be judged on health and temperament. The most shedding doodle I have seen, still sheds far less than the least shedding lab I have ever seen.

I am not a list monitor, but I would say if you are so against the labradoodle breed, this is not the list for you.

Paula
