When I sell all my puppies, I will create a Yahoo group, so that I can keep in touch with owners of my puppies.  Unless you buy one of mine, you can't join.  Elitist?  I belong to a Yahoo group for my small town in Arkansas - you can't join you, don't live here.  I belong to a homeschool Yahoo group - you can't join, you don't homeschool.

Let's keep this issue in perspective.  There are many Yahoo groups that have closed memberships.  You simply need to meet the requirements.  Maybe the people who join this new group just need to justify the money they spent on their non-breed dogs.

At the risk of being flamed, or worse, I think this is at rude as one
can be and smacks of exclusivity.  It's akin to saying "you, you, and
you, but not you, come join my private club".  I'm not sure what makes
your doodle better than mine (and that IS the impression one is left
from reading your email) in that they are not a true "breed" no matter
where or from whom they originated, but I resent being excluded from
something marketed on this site and the inference that my dog is
something "less" than your dog.
