Congrats Laurie!.. They're something else, aren't they? We got our Golden Doodle 4 months ago..Assuming you got them from a breeder, the puppy should be fairly house broken...They should let you know when it's time...However, be prepared for some mistakes!! lol..As for other training, the best advice is to see how well the puppy is trained and what needs to be done....I'll tell you this, doods love to chew, so watch your stuff!!! They love clothes and shoes...Other than that, you'll know what needs to be done...
Hope you enjoy your dood as much as we do ours!! Incidentally, what's their name?? lhjbbw..aka Doo Dad --- In [email protected], [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > > Congrats on your new dog! I thought I'd take that as an opportunity to introduce myself. I just joined the group because we're expecting our Goldendoodle puppy to arrive on Weds:) We are very excited and trying to get ready. Actually, at this point I'm having equal parts of excitement and "oh my gosh, what were we thinking??" while looking over all the non-puppy proofed things all over the house. > > Anyone have any pointers to offer on pup's first weeks at home? He will be just 8 weeks when he arrives. We will be crate training, which I've never done before. In fact, it's been 15 years since I had a puppy in the house. > > Thanks so much! > > Regards, Laurie > Yahoo!
