If your Dood is going to shed, does it start immediately? Our pup is only 13 weeks, but I've yet to find any shed hair, even after playing with our apricot while wearing dark clothing! Are we just lucky then with our first gen goldendoodle? Should I be expecting at least one blown puppy coat? He has a really lovely wavy coat, and little to no doggy odor. What a joy after 15 years with a dog who was wonderful, but who shed long white hair everywhere:)

My favorites are Nutro natural choice and Evo by innova. 99% of the dogs that come through here, I am a foster for a dog rescue, get nutro and do well on it. I usually recomend the chicken rice and oatmeal for dogs who have tummy problems or else, depending on the size of the dog, if it is over 45-50 pounds, or plans on being, I feed the large breed puppy or the large breed lamb and rice puppy. The evo is like an atkins diet for dogs, there are no cereal grains in it and is gret for overweight dogs, but I don't know if it is an all stages food and I don't think they make a puppy formula. I would go with the Nutro, it is usually cheaper and pet stores are always having pretty good sales on it. I have two doodles here, just adopted out one, and they are awesome. SOOOO easy to train and such lovers. Enjoy yours, I hope the food info helps. He will always shed, but it probably won't be as bad for most of the year as it is shedding time right now. companions.MY wife said I could get another dog for Christmas.Her main
concern was the shedding.I owned the labs before I was married,she has
two shih-tzus.Well I had heard that the labradoodles were a breed that
did not shed much or not at all.My doodles mother was a chocolate lab
and her father was a black standard poodle.Boy was I wrong Daphne
sheds worse than any lab I ever had.Is she just losing her baby coat
or is there any change I can make in her diet to help slow this down?
Daphne is by far the most intelligent dog I have ever owned and by far
the easiest to train.I worked for a field trial trainer for a year so
I have seen a lot of dogs.Thanks for the info or advice you can give
me.
