Runki,
We got our 7 week old puppy used to his crate by putting it in the living room when we were in there with him. We'd cover it with a blanket, and leave the crate door open so he could go in and out as he pleased. I also put an old pair of sweats in there with my scent on them so he'd feel at home. For the first few days I started out the morning by feeding him in his crate so he'd associate it with happy things.
Then at night I would move his crate to beside my bed, cover it again, and put him inside by saying "in your house" and then hand him a bully stick to chew on when he'd go inside. When he would cry during the night I would say very gently, "settle baby" and sometimes I'd put my hand inside the crate. If he didn't settle quickly, it meant he had to potty.
He's now 4 months old and he'll put himself to bed in
his crate when he's tired. If it's in the afternoon he'll still cry & complain for the first few minutes but he'll eventually settle. He has my sweats in the crate still and I always make sure he has a bully stick to chew on so he can get out his frustrations without destroying anything.
I hope that helps.

Hi All,
Our pup is crying inside the crate even it is for 2 seconds untill we are picking him up, He is sleeping inside of it very well though. My daughter was home toady so she managed to do that but from tomorrow it would be hard for me also I do not want to spoil him either, please help me. Should I ignore him even if he cries? Please.
Thanks in advance,
Runki
