I only give them yogurt if somebody has a tummy ache, every now and then I will give it for a treat. I know that some of the "grocery store" brand food has sugar, so it isn't going to kill them, for sure. That said, I don't know how great it is for them. I don't give it very often, so I haven't worried too much about it. I suppose it depends how much sugar and how often you feed it. If you are feeding it a few times a week, I would probably stick to the regular plain yogurt.

Hi Aby,
I was just checking Danone website and they have sugar in that Activa yogurt. So, I do not know is it a good idea or not to feed them sugar. Do you offer them yogurt everyday or few times a week?
thanks

It contains a couple of other live bacterium that the regular yogurt doesn't have.I always give a spoonful of yogurt to new dogs as it help to settle the little tummies that are usually nervous when coming into a new environment. I give it if I notice runny poops as well. If the yogurt doesn't help, I will usually add some canned pumpkin to the meals. Some of the dogs that I get in are VERY nervous and anxious and some are very wormy. If the yogurt and pumpkin don't help and I have wormed them, I will give immodium. I have never had it get passed that, thank god.Sometimes I just give them as a treat with din din. My dogs LOVE both. My border collie loves the canned pumpkin so much that I can give it to him off of a spoon and his head will be covered in pumpkin by the end of the spoonful. LOL.Abbie

Hi
can you advise just how much Yogurt you would give a 10 week old, i
assume this is part of a meal what else do you give them to eat at
that time. i give Rupert [adult dog 23 months ] yoghurt 3-4 times a
week as a little treat the same applies to bones he will get those to
chew on maybe twice a week to, he also has a larger main meal
everyday. he is quite tall and must weigh around 75-80kg.
