Hi Yvonne

I would be careful doing that. Here in the State of WA it is against the
law to sit out in front of a grocery store and give away puppies. This
also sets up an impulse buy situation and those people who takes those pups
may regret it in a few days and those pups will most likely end up in the
shelter :(

I am sorry you are having trouble with finding homes for these puppies. I
agree with whoever it was that stated that free puppies can be picked up by
those selling to labs for testing. It was just on our news recently and it
was scary how often it happens.

Charging $50-$100 will help with that or going through a rescue group who
will help you screen applicants. Have you tried an add in the paper with
the nominal fee? Post adds around your community boards?

Shipping can be done COD. As far as a crate have the potential applicant
buy one and ship it to you via such sites as http://petedge.com and
http://www.dog.com/ I have shipped rescues to myself with no cost to the
original owner many times. There is also a ground shipping company that
will drive out to your home and pick up a puppy and drive it to the new
owners home. I don't recall the name of it but I know a friend who used
it to ship her puppy here.

Please try and do some screening for your beloved puppies. You have a
responsibility to them whether this litter was planned or not. I realize
how much work puppies are and how overwhelming they can be. I have a
litter of 7 right now :)

If you have not spayed or neutered them then you need to talk to your
humane society and see if they have a program called the Cinderella Program
(that is what it is called in our area) where they have funds to help in
assisting with getting the pets spayed or neutered. By giving away a
"free" Labradoodle and if not neutered you are setting up another line of
puppies to be bred out there.

Please, I hate to preach, but seriously consider not breeding your pair any
more. Finding good homes for your puppies is a lot of work! It can be
very rewarding but it can be overwhelming and scary too!

Shari
