Yes, he is an F1 and we count ourselves quite lucky on the coat.  We're working through puppy issues (chewing, digging, barking, jumping) right now, but all and all I think his temperament is very good.  He will stop all of the above when asked, and he's rock solid with my youngest child who is two.  He takes quite a lot of family energy at this point, but I think I can see my way through to the wonderful dog he will be as an adult.  I'm tempted to find some sort of agility sport for him after watching the enormous leaps he makes to avoid stepping in my garden:)

But I do think I'm going to mourn his puppy fur when we do a shorter all over cut.  I am getting rather tired of picking foxtails and burrs out of this active guy's fur.
