We have used the harness type with Tycho, and I like it.  It has a ring on the chest part, and a regular leash goes through this ring and attaches to a normal buckle collar.  For some reason the pressure downwards inhibits pulling and makes him much easier to handle.  The instructions were pretty simple and easy to understand, and it's the type recommended by our trainer.  We got the largest harness size and adjusted it near the smallest end as he's still growing and approx 70 lbs.

Our Lady, Margaux weighs 50 lbs. and is through growing. Since she
came to us last week, we wanted to work on her walking beside and
slightly behind on a leash. Of the 'gentle leader' (Premier brand),
what's your experience? Some don't want the collar type that loops
around the muzzle. And, do you remember if you bought the medium or
large? Apparently she's the right shape for either of those.

Thanks,

Margaux with John & Sherrie
