Our Shaggy is now 80 pounds and I just converted to a
Gentle Leader leash with loop around the snout, right
below his eyes. We were previously using a prong
collar which seemed to help and we always walk him to
the side so he knows we're his leader. I have found
that the Gentle Leader really works well and when I
jog with him, he is so happy. At first, he fought it
for a few seconds but I just ignored him and kept
going and he actually likes it now and gets excited to
go out. He just weighs so much and it's difficult to
keep telling him to heel and yank him back all the
time! Especially when he's excited to play with other
dogs!
