I am in upstate ny and have the same problem . my maxie just loves the snow. I
clipped her feet hair really short so it does not seem to be as bad but I towel
her down and keep her in one spot till the snow is melted. someone sait the
lotion and water trick I may try this...anyone else...

everyone,
We live in Maine, so snow is a months long probability here. We just
got 5 inches of gorgeous fluffy powder, and I took Dempsey out for a
romp, and oh my, does that dog LOVE snow!
My question is for anyone else in snow country with doodles - is there
an easy way to get the "snowballs" off their coat when you bring them
in? Dempsey chewed off alot of them, but he was still covered with
tons of little drippy snowballs that were very stuck to his legs and
belly. I confined him to the kitchen and kept wiping him and the floor
until he was fully melted, but I'd love it if there was an easier and
less messy way.
Thanks!
