Bad wording from me. I mean go to incubator, leave as sub-project of a
TLP and when the time has come go TLP. In comparison to go into
incubation and then try to leave as TLP.

I think the actual case that a labs project needs to be promoted since
it has become to noisy (in the good sense) has revealed some needed
specification on the procedure of promoting a labs project. I agree that
this  discussion has helped to clear things up which is very good.

That is awesome. The proposal has HC and Lucene as sponsor.

Droids is and will use lots of work done in lucene. Since integration of
tika is ongoing and Mahout I am keen to integrate as well very soon. If
not before I guess would be awesome to do it on the Hackton on
ApacheCon.
