Hi everyone

This discussion was on the radio - are there more forest fires now because
of global warming...the answer is - no...the temp. of the globe does not
cause forest fires. Of the given quantity of fires burning right now,
300+, less than half were caused by lightning; the rest were caused by
human error.

It is useful to know that forest fires aren't necessarily a bad thing - in
Nature, they are part of the forest cycle; regrowth occurs, thus a
redistribution of vegetation and animal species; devastating at the time,
but healthy in the long run.
